The resin went hard!! Yippee!!
I overdid it the last 7 days - so by Thursday/Friday I was really dragging my feet.Thankfully a short extension for the next assignment - my head is spinning.
Trying to get rest - no problems sleepng - but it just isn't enough to get full energy back.

Went to South Pacific with Bron - great show. Fell asleep in the train, but not the show.

Swapped boats - now have Spiral 855 on the travel trailer. Gave the front deck a clean up, and have put some resin into the mast step (the base has worn from the mast rotating against the fibreglass). I hope the resin goes hard :-) When that happens, I have an aluminium disc to drop in - to avaoid further damage.

Norths couldn't do me a sail before the Nats - I don't think they consider me important.
Will try Brewer tomorrow - but it is cutting things fine.

Interesting to note: Qld 125 sailors did well at 125 Nationals, and 2013/14 Nats are likely to be at DPSS over Christmas/NY. Which is likely to be contiguous with the Heron Nats from RQYS. mmmm
I will be watching that space nd dates with interest.

Back to assignments.

Run and won: what else can be said.
Congrats to Peter Hackett on his win Overall.
A close finish for the top 3.
There wasn't a race where we weren't on the side - no real light winds at all.
Plenty of windy stuff.
Plenty of interest for WA hosting at Perth Dinghy SC.

For me, it was the end of a three year commitment on behalf of Qld Sabres to host and organise.
Nobody could fathom the all up cost of that.

In terms of my own result - the greatest reward came from sharing knowledge of the win with my neighbour. Strange hey.

Now it's back to the walls of the flat, and to finish the course that was the vehicle for getting me to the SE corner for the event. I hope I survive that. They turn up the heat in the next semester.

Preparing for Registration - lists of competitors for checking, CDs, health, sail & foil check, bag label ... sign-on sheet for spectator boat, and tags for random post-race prize draws.
Tally the Welcome BBQ tickets - complicated by odd requests :-(
Now the $6m question - - - will folk remember what they have said they will do?

One sponsor has not responded - I will have to draw a line through their name on the sipporter list we have had printed :-(

D'oh - just realise - I haven't done the Division listing yet :-(

When Christians understand Christmas the world will be a better place. Until then, they lead everyone astray:-(

Sunday night !

Three days last week in clinic - gr8 way to end first month there.

SLOWLY gathering items for the regatta - helps when folk let me know they have items ready for pickup or handed over to another person to bring to Brisbane

Saturday - fickle wind, not much gained. Leave 1537 at RQ ready for the event.

Sunday - 1724 washed down and sorted; big TY to Ian for his help.

Sunday night - washing my gear
